Fearless Video is a national, award-winning, Black woman-owned production company based in Baltimore, with deep ties to Washington DC and an eye on the diaspora.
Founded in 2021 by filmmaker Julian C. Hamer, Fearless was born on the campaign trail and built in the community. We tell the stories that matter with cultural precision, creative intention, and a point of view we don't apologize for.
We make documentary, branded, political, and cultural work for organizations that believe representation isn't a trend. It's the work. Our clients include the NAACP, United Way, PBS, Hulu, DNC, Google Newsroom Initiative, Color of Change, Black Public Media, Courier Newsroom, and Vice President Kamala Harris.
We work where the story is. And we are just getting started.

Who Is FEarless?
Fearless Video was born from a conviction that only lived experience could teach: that the most powerful stories require storytellers who bring cultural competence, proximity, and deep empathy to the work.
The company traces its start to the 2020 campaign trail, where founder Julian C. Hamer led video production for Vice President Kamala Harris and directed Kamala Harris is Us, the DNC introduction film that reached more than 20 million people. Leading a team of women, primarily women of color, Julian understood firsthand what it means to hold a story that belongs to your community, and to tell it with the care that only shared experience makes possible.
She launched Fearless in January 2021 to make that conviction permanent. In 2024, Julian became the sole owner and creative leader of Fearless Video, carrying the founding mission forward with expanded vision and sharpened focus. Now in its fifth year, Fearless has built an award-winning body of work with organizations including the United Way of Central Maryland, Color of Change, Courier Newsrooms, Black Public Media, the NAACP, Echoing Green, Garrison Forest School, Google News Initiative, The Afro, Hulu, PBS, NBC, and more.

Our Fearless Leader
Julian C. Hamer is the founder, sole owner, and creative visionary of Fearless Video. An award-winning filmmaker, director, producer, and cinematographer from Baltimore, Maryland, she works at the intersection of culture, art, and politics, prioritizing Black life. She has spent her career documenting Black life and history with the precision, care, and cultural depth the work demands, and she leads Fearless alongside an expansive national network of creatives and production professionals.
